Material and ambience names¶

The exact names of every built-in material and lighting preset, for use with the command line apply_mtl and apply_amb commands and the viewer messaging API apply_mtl message.

Using the names¶

• Materials: apply_mtl <layer>:<material>. Material names are matched case-insensitively; layer names are case-sensitive.
• Ambiences: apply_amb <shelf>:<id>. The shelf is the lowercase alias (white, black, floor, sun) and the id is the preset id, e.g. Ambience07b. Both parts are case-sensitive.
• Run list_materials and list_ambiences in a command line script to print these lists from the application itself.
